The Sunshine Blogger Award (2.0!)

I’ve been super MIA for the last month and I apologise! I have super exciting things happening right now that I can’t wait to share with everyone soon! In the meantime, I’m hoping to get back into the swing of blogging more regularly for June (starting with my new review for Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel). One of the things on my blogger ‘to do list’ is to complete the tags some of my favorite bloggers have been so kind to include me in. So a big shoutout to both Reader Voracious and This Dark Material for tagging me in The Sunshine Blogger Award! Be sure to check out their amazing book blogs and give them a follow!

Rules

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you by linking their blog
  2. Answer the questions
  3. Nominate 11 blogs with 11 questions
  4. List the rules as well as display the Sunshine Award Logo on your post

I’m going to be super brave and attempt to answer both Reader Voracious and This Dark Material’s questions in this post. I don’t want to pick between the two so I might as well answer them all! Here we go!

Book Blogger Insider Tag

Lazy Sundays are the perfect day to fill in fun book blogger tags. ūüôā

It’s absolutely gorgeous out today in my little town on the outskirts of London with blue skies, sunshine, and a soft cool breeze. We’ve had nearly a week of summertime weather and I’m trying to ignore that it likely won’t last much longer. So to anyone else in the UK, take advantage of the beautiful weather while it lasts! Who knows when we’ll get it back again.

If you follow me on Twitter you probably know that I finished reading the first Wheel of Time book, The Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan at 3AM last night and I haven’t been able to shut about it since I began. For anyone on¬†the fence about reading these books like I was: just do it! I wish I’d started sooner but I’m so excited to have a super long epic fantasy series ahead of me now. My review for¬†The Eye of the World will be coming soon!

I’d like to thank the wonderful Inkblottings¬†for tagging me in the Book Blogger Insider Tag! Please be sure to check out their book blog and give them a follow!

3 Quotes, 3 Days: Day 3

This is it, my final day of quotes. Thank you to mistysbookspace¬†one last time for tagging me — it’s been fun! So far I’ve shared a quote from Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring and Gaiman’s Neverwhere. I guess this means I find the fantasy genre to be particularly quotable. So I figured I’d share another quote in a slightly different genre to mix it up a little bit. A quick reminder of the rules:

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
  • Nominate three new bloggers each day

So here’s my final quote for the ‘3 Quotes, 3 Days’ tag:

Thank you again to mistysbookspace for the tag!

3 Quotes, 3 Days: Day 1

I’m really excited about this tag. I love stumbling upon a quote in a book and feeling myself fall in love with the words while drifting off into my own little dreamland. I’m looking forward to finding three quotes to share with you all over the next few days! Choosing only three is going to be difficult.

I’d like to give a warm thank you to mistysbookspace for tagging me. Please visit their blog and show¬†them some love!
