So… I got married in Las Vegas!

And that’s why I went on holiday for the past couple weeks. Surprise!

And no, it wasn’t spontaneous (though I love a good spontaneous wedding story!). We’ve been planning this for a few months now and kept it fairly hush-hush since it’s more fun that way. My husband (!) and I were married on 8 September at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino with our parents, siblings, and my best friend who was able to fly out for a few days to celebrate. It was intimate and beautiful and easily the best day of our lives. And because we love Vegas, we stayed at the Bellagio for 10 days with a fantastic view of the amazing fountains and stunning Nevada mountains. Our families stayed as well which was wonderful since we’re from different countries (the UK and Canada) and our families don’t normally get to spend very much time together.

It was so much fun and I wanted to share it with all of you! We’re living in Canada for a few months while we get the pesky visa situation sorted, so I’ll be on Canada-time for a little bit! 🙂

And now, back to our regularly scheduled bookish programming! x

Super exciting blog milestone!

That’s right, you read that correctly. My tiny corner of the book blogging world has somehow amassed over 200 followers since Ashley in Wonderland launched in January. I wanted to thank all of my new followers for taking the time to check out my blog and everyone who has been reading, commenting, liking, and being generally amazing for the past 8 months. Blogging has been the most fulfilling hobby I’ve ever taken up and I’ve met so many incredible readers, bloggers, and authors since starting.

I’m slowly getting my blog a bit more organised and I’m going to try to stick to a new schedule of posting Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from now on. Some big and small changes will be slowly implemented over the next few months while I continue to learn how to manage both my blog and social media outlets as well as getting enough time in to read, review, and come up with new content. It’s chaotic and intimidating but so much fun, and I wanted to thank you all again for being apart of this. Love you guys! x

Back to business!

Hi everyone!

I’m back and super excited to be blogging again after my week (and a bit) off! As I discussed in my last post, my mom was here visiting last week from Canada so I took a brief hiatus. I meant to come back at the beginning of this week but life has been so so so busy that I haven’t had enough time to sit down and write. I have been reading though!

Before I talk about my current reads here are a few photos of our travels from last week:

Taking a short break!

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. My mom is coming from Canada to stay with my boyfriend and I (for my birthday on Friday!) so I won’t be posting at all for the next week. This will likely include my social media unless I snap a cute bookish photo while we’re out that I want to post on my new #bookstagram!

Expect me back the week of the 7th of May 🙂

Wishing you all the best!

Ashley x
